Many doctors face a sharp downfall when it comes to questions in Ethics. It is not because of bad ethics - but due to lack of knowledge of pre set rules in deciding many issues. These are usually different in every country and are derived by a combination of culture and local expectation. In the United States, freedom of decision is left with the patient and his/her family.

Having practiced in many other countries, most other countries are different and are unique in their own ways.
