Allergic Conjunctivitis
Note the papilliform lesions that signify allergic conjunctivitis. It presents with itchy eyes and a clear stringy discharge. It is most pronounced on the Palpebral conjunctiva and is best seen with the eyelid everted. Treatment is with Steroid eye drops.
Note that Steroids are contra-indicated in patients with Viral conjunctivitis. In those with Dendritic lesions on the cornea, Herpes is the culprit and these patients should immediately be seen by ophthal and started on Acyclovir.
