Stokes Adams attack

  Patients present with syncope. The sinus node and the AV node are degenerating. The degeneration progresses through the whole conduction system and advances from the SA node downwards towards the ventricle. A permanent pacemaker is indicated (whenever there is an independent gap of >3seconds or the patient is symptomatic).
