Now we will do a  series of questions on diabetes

A 40 year old lady is brought to you in the ER. She is confused and talking words that have no meaning (Jargon). She is a known diabetic and uses insulin. She is afebrile and general neurologic examination reveals a decreased consciousness level.

The first test you would order is:

1. Urea and electrolytes with glucose level from the laboratory
2. Glucometer blood sugar reading
3. Serum acetone
4. Serum osmolality
5. Serum insulin level
