What should you do if a patient who is in a lot of pain asks you for treatment even before you have made a diagnosis? For instance someone with abdominal pain or headache or chest pain etc?

Solution - 

1. Tell the patient that you are there to help but as soon as a proper diagnosis is made.

2. Tell him/her that you do not want to do the patient a disfavor by giving a medicine that may spoil the situation.

3. It may also prevent diagnosing the problem. 

4. In some cases this may harm the patient because an inappropriate medicine is given.
