What is the dagnosis in this 18 year old with fever and a blood pressure of 64/30mmHg? He has some form of sepsis. The pictures are typical for GC sepsis. Although we grew out Staph aureus from the patient, the clinical diagnosis of GC made it imperative that we gave him Ceftriaxone too. When we saw him, he was already receiving antibiotics for approx 36 hours. His skin aspirate from the lesion did not grow anything. He is currently also being tested for vasculitis. Therefore the differential in such a case should always include the above mentioned and endocarditis (he did get a TEE done)
