Koilonychia - or spoon shaped nails - unusual finding in the US but when seen must be checked for Iron deficiency anemia. Look at the index finger bilaterally and middle finger in the left hand.

Another sign of iron deficiency anemia is PICA - craving for eating ice or mud.
